Tanning leather is a dirty process. That’s why we source our hides  from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries that use processes to  reduce chemical use and the impact on our watersheds.                    

ECO ANTI-ODOR

We’ve turned to nature to eliminate pesticides and biocides from  going into the environment. Our footbeds are infused with probiotic  technology that naturally breaks down odor in sweat without heavy metals  or hazardous chemicals.                     

PFC-FREE WATER REPELLENCY

Perfluorinated Chemicals (PFCs) are commonly used to repel water on  outdoor gear. But these compounds are suspected carcinogens and persist  in the environment, so we’ve switched to alternative chemistry that’s  safe yet still effective.

Care  We've carefully selected leather uppers designed to last. Then again,  if you're wearing your KEENs daily, they won't always be scuff and  dirt-free. To treat day to day wear and tear, especially on lighter  color leathers, we recommend using a leather cleaner and conditioner,  found at most footwear dealers and/or shoe repair shops.
