This device is an elastic band that is tightly wrapped around a limb (Upper or Lower), above the wound, to prevent loss of blood from a trauma accident. Tourniquets are used in emergency situations to temporarily control blood flow by squeezing large blood vessels. The squeezing helps stop blood loss.
