Crag Light Belay

 Description Very  lightweight belay device based on the tube principle; suitable for  double, half and single ropes from 7.5 to 10.5 mm in diameter. The  V-shaped grooves permit controlled retention of drops even at low manual  force as well as controlled lowering of the climber.

STORAGE  AND  TRANSPORT    Optimum storage  conditions  are:  in  a  cool,  dry,  dark place and not in any container for transport.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE   Keep  the  product free from dirt and dust to avoid any  damage  to  ropes.  Clean  the  soiled  product in lukewarm water using a neu-tral soap or a disinfectant (must contain ammonium  chloride),  rinse  thoroughly  and leave to dry in the shade (see Fig. B and C). The user must not mark, modify or repair the product.

EFFECTS   OF   CHEMICALS   AND   ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCES  Avoid all contact  with  acids,  solvents  and  other  reactive  materials  or  sources  of  heat.  Caution: Aggressive chemicals (including acids,  dyes,  solvents,  adhesive  and  self-adhesive  labels)  and  strong  heat  may impair the product’s characteristics without any visible outer signs of damage. In  the  event  of  any  contact  with  such  chemicals  or  heat,  replace  the  product  immediately.

ACCESSORIES   This  product  must  be  used  only  in  combination  with  other  equipment  which  complies  with  the  EU  Directive  216/425/EEC  for  personal  protective equipment (PPE). Observe the corresponding guidelines.

SERVICE  LIFE  AND  DISCARDING  The service  life  of  this  product  depends  on  many  factors  such  as  frequency  of  use,  application,  etc.  In  general,  the  product  must be replaced immediately:–after a hard fall (extreme mechanical stress)–after contact with aggressive chemicals–in the event of corrosion–in the case of excessive wearIn cases of normal and competent use, and where no serious damage is sustained as a result of external influences, the product should be replaced at least every 5 years.USE–To be used with dynamic single, half and twin ropes according to EN 892, –Use only ropes with a diameter corre-sponding to the information shown on the product.Permitted rope diameter 7.5–10.5 mm–Application: Multi-pitch tours and sports climbing–If you are using two ropes, the belay device should be used only with ropes of the same diameter and the same condition.
