Ideal for any outdoor water conditions, the award-winning Katadyn 8014931 Vario Water Filter  is a workhorse when it comes to removing harmful elements such as  bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores and sediments. The Vario Water  Filter also reduces chemicals and improves taste and odor thanks to a  replaceable activated carbon granulate filter cartridge. The Katadyn  Vario features ceramic as a cleanable dirt shield and glass-fiber for  microbiological filtration with minimal pump resistance. In " Longer  Life" mode, the turbid water is first pre-filtered through the ceramic  disk and has an output of approx. 1 liter per minute. When operating in  the " Faster Flow" mode, water is directed straight to the glass-fiber  membrane, increasing the water flow to up to 2 liters per minute. The  Katadyn 8014931 Vario Water Filter also features a dual piston mechanism  that provides continuous water flow with minimal effort. This  state-of-the-art Vario Water Filter also features a rubber base secure  stand and an integrated bottle thread that fits directly on Nalgene  bottles (wide mouth).
